I look after homeless services in Aberdeenshire.  This means we try and find places for people to stay.  This is really important for young people who have been in care and we would always try and plan for there to be something safe for young people to move to when they leave care.

I have worked for Aberdeenshire Council for over 15 years and during most of this time I was also a specialist foster carer so have a real interest in getting it right for young people. 

Because Aberdeenshire is a big place we can't always find perfect places for everyone but we will always try our best. 

We will also help to make sure there are people there to support you with working out how to pay rent, bills and how to look after your home.  

As well as being a corporate parent I am also a real parent and was young myself many years ago and know how hard life can be, no more so than during these difficult times.
