'The Promise' as outlined on their website at thepromise.scot is "responsible for driving the work of change demanded by the findings of the Independent Care Review. It works with all kinds of organisations to support shifts in policy, practice and culture so Scotland can #KeepThePromise it made to care experienced infants, children, young people, adults and their families - that every child grows up loved, safe and respected, able to realise their full potential."
The Promise team began their work in July 2020 following the Care Review findings published in July 2020. Their role is to ensure.that the changes necessary to ensure that all Scotland’s children continue to grow up ‘loved, safe and respected’ are embedded in services provided across Scotland by its statutory agencies, local authorities and third sector.

We will be running surveys and discussions.
We will be engaging with young people, with carers and with our family of Corporate Parents to ensure we work for the future of of care experienced young people.
