We are here to support care experienced young people

Hello I am Emma Allen, Virtual Head Teacher for Care Experienced Young People. This platform is for all young people who are in care or who have experienced care and live in Aberdeenshire

My message to young people across Aberdeenshire.

This platform is all about supporting young people who live in Aberdeenshire. You may currently be in care or you may have experienced care. This platform is for you and for the many people responsible for looking after your interests.

SHOW US YOUR CREATIVE SIDE!  Go HERE for more.

Whether it's a photo, a painting, a bit of craftwork, we'd love you to share your creativity.

Here's some photography from myself and Angela taken on our exercise walks - what do you think?

WHO'S WHO ACROSS ABERDEENSHIRE?

Go to community  to see how our community is building.

Let us introduce you to all those who are helping young people across Aberdeenshire, young people themselves as well as some of the adults who are responsible for looking after the well-being of young people and helping to keep them safe.

Community

Go to our community page, have a look at who is here and the things they do and can do to help.

MUCH MORE TO COME!

Here, we are building, managing and maintaining a unique searchable space that will give you information and sources of support across a range of topics.  It is all about looking after your wellbeing as a young person in Aberdeenshire..

This platform is also a place for young people to voice their opinions, views and ideas.  If that is you, we want to hear about your life, your aspirations and how we can support you.  We will treat all information shared with us anonymously unless stated differently, and, where appropriate. permissions have been given.

There will be opportunities for posts and features to be interactive and linked to social media.  Watch out for up coming events and surveys you can take part in.

It is our hope that we will have a care experienced young person as part of the “behind the scenes” team, to help us develop this platform further and help influence and lead its direction.

Watch this space!

Thank you,

Emma Allen and the Corporate Parenting Leads Group of Aberdeenshire.
